OI1127731929_TaylorBettyobitphotoBetty Ann Taylor, 72, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at her residence.

She was born May 16, 1941, in Lebanon, Ind., to M. Raymond Williams and Beatrice E. (Bland) Williams. On Dec. 10, 1960, she was married to Paul R. Taylor, who preceded her in death on March 18, 2011.

Betty was a 1959 graduate of Claypool High School, Claypool, Ind., and a 1960 graduate of Indiana Business College. She worked as a legal secretary in Indianapolis. In 1980 she was the co-founder of Coal Creek Canyon Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and from 1979-1998 she was the administrative assistant at the University of Colorado in Boulder. She worked as the secretary for the director of the education program at Manchester College, North Manchester, Ind.

Betty attended Warsaw Community Church in Warsaw since 2005 and, along with her late husband, was a facilitator there for the WCC Cancer Support Group since 2007.

She is survived by two sons: David W. (Linda) Taylor, Grand Junction, Colo.; Karl R. (Cheri) Taylor, Denver, Colo.; a grandson: Anthony J. Taylor, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and two granddaughters: Anastasia M. Taylor and Natasha A. Taylor, both of Denver, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer. A private family graveside will be held at Violett Cemetery in Goshen, Ind.
