Police in Marshall County say their initial findings show a man killed early this morning on U.S. 30 may have taken his own life.

The man, whose identity has not yet been released, apparently jumped into the path of a semi at about 2:30 a.m. The driver of the semi called 911 to report he had possibly hit someone. The victim was found lying in the westbound lanes of the highway, east of Union Road.

Both lanes of the highway were closed for several hours while the investigation was conducted.
