Daniel J. “Danny” Kintzel, 56, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 11:58 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On July 1, 1957, he was born in Warsaw to William F. and Lillie Jane (England) Kintzel.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, Daniel worked for Time Out Inn for 37 years. He volunteered at the Senior Citizens Center, Warsaw. He was elected to the board of directors of the Self Advocates of Indiana and was vice president of Advocacy Angels. He also was involved in the Special Olympics.
Daniel had a huge heart and was well liked by everybody and was always willing to help other people. He enjoyed going to garage sales, working jigsaw puzzles, sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and collecting sports memorabilia.
He is survived by one sister: Barbie (Doug) Jordan, Wabash, Ind.; three brothers: Chuck (Candi) Kintzel, Warsaw; Donald L. Kintzel and William L. Kintzel, South Whitley, Ind.; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Jane Denise Kintzel.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
