Donald R. Worley, 74, of South Whitley, Ind., passed away at 11:42 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born on March 17, 1939, in Illinois. He was the son of Marion and Viola (Andre) Worley. He graduated from Atwood High School with the Class of 1957. He served with United States Army for 2 years and 11 months. He married Wanda Lee Brunner on March 1, 1966, in Warsaw, Ind.
Don worked at Dana Corporation, Syracuse, Ind., for 17 and a half years in the Transmission Department. He also was a self employed dairy farmer. He was a member of Oak Grove Church of God. He enjoyed visiting friends at McDonalds and collected antique tractors.
He is survived by two children: Christopher Worley, South Whitley; Emily (Randy) Gaskill, Monroe, Ind.; four grandchildren: Aaron, Brandon and Craig Gaskill; Teri Jo Brunner; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Virginia and Margaret, both of Kosciusko County, Ind.
Don is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one infant granddaughter: Sarah Pingry; four brothers; two step-sons: Tim Boner and Scott Feighner.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at Oak Grove Church of God, Raber Rd., Columbia City, Ind. Funeral service will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the church with Pastor Stephen Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Annex Cemetery, Columbia City with graveside military rites conducted by Korean War Veteran Honor Guard.
