UPDATE: U.S. 30 And Center Accident

Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory officials, Warsaw Police and Multi-Township EMS personnel responded to a three vehicle accident on U.S. 30 at Center Street at 8:48 a.m. Monday.

According to a Warsaw Police report, Aaron J. Zimmerman, 27, of Rochester, was eastbound on U.S. 30 when he failed to stop for the traffic light and collided with two vehicles crossing the eastbound lanes of U.S. 30. Zimmerman was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for complaints of pain to his left foot, right arm and his stomach.

Drivers of the other vehicles, Swarup N. Dash, 27, of Warsaw; and Melissa A. Cook, 46, of Warsaw, were not injured.

The accident shut down eastbound U.S. 30 for approximately 45 minutes.

Damages were estimated at up to $25,000.
