Allison J. DeVittorio, 45, of Elkhart, Ind., and formerly of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart.

She was born Oct. 7, 1968, in Chicago Heights, Ill., to Joseph M. and Janet E. (Hawk) DeVittorio. She attended public schools in Indianapolis and graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette. She was a social worker, moved to Elkhart six years ago and formerly lived in Indianapolis, Syracuse and Dalton, Ga.

She is survived by her father: Joseph (Vanessa) DeVittorio, Davidsonville, Md.; two sisters: Kim (Jeff King) DeVittorio, Dripping Springs, Texas; Kristin DeVittorio, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and a nephew: Joshua Frankel.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

No public services are planned at this time.
