Edna R. Pence, 85, of Claypool, Ind., passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Kosciusko County, Ind., to Jasper O. and Minnie C. (Swope) Eakright. She graduated from Laketon High School in 1946. On Jan. 24, 1951, she married Ronald E. Pence.
She was a homemaker and a member of Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake, Ind. Edna enjoyed fishing and taking care of her garden. She is survived by one son, Joe E. Pence, Claypool, Ind.; two daughters: Kathy R. Bolyard, Durham, N.C.; and Martha Ann Pence, South Whitley, Ind.; one sister: Helen Dickey, Columbia City, Ind.; and two grandchildren: Ben Bolyard, Durham, N.C.; and Nichole Bolyard, Durham, N.C.
There will be no services or calling. Burial will be at a later date in Swank Cemetery, North Manchester, Ind.
