Jack HurtJack Hurt, 63, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 11:12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.

On June 10, 1950, Jack was born to Hershel and Mary Bell (Blevin) Hurt in Prestonsburg, Ky. He lived most of his life in Kosciusko County, Ind.

Jack worked for Superior Wood Products, Warsaw, for 25 years as a finisher. He started Hurt Music Productions and was involved in publishing music. Jack enjoyed fishing, rebuilding computers, taking of photographs and family history.

Jack is survived by his daughter: Kristi (Bud) Ault, Warsaw; three sons: Jackie “DJ” (Tina Miller) Hurt Jr., North Webster, Ind.; Shane (Raeann) Hurt, Pierceton, Ind.; and Kyle Robertson, Pierceton; his fiancé, Janet Best, Warsaw; seven grandchildren: Derek, Daken and Dawson; Taylor and Jacob; Jaedann and Daityn; two brothers: Robert (Rhonda) Hurt, Rochester, Ind.; and Junior (Sue) Hurt, Atwood, Ind.; along with his sisters: Sue (John) Caldwell, LaGrange, Ind.; and Shirley (Randy) Johnson, Warsaw.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Angie Weirick.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home with Pastor Gale Janofski officiating. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery.
