OI292937351_FoldsobitBeverly J. Folds, 84, of Churubusco, Ind., passed away on her birthday at 6:10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Bethlehem Woods Nursing Center in Fort Wayne.

Born on Feb. 3, 1930, in Crown Pointe, Ind., she was the daughter of Ivan East and Helen (Keller) East. She graduated from Dyer High School in St. John and went to Nursing School to become a RN. On Aug. 15, 1950, she married Milton W. Folds, Jr.

She was a RN prior to her marriage in 1950 and then became a Homemaker and Housewife. She is a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and was one of the founders of Curtain Company Players. She was also a past President of Whitley County Right to Life and Fort Wayne Civic Guild.

She is survived by her children: Milton W. (Cathy) Folds III, Winona Lake, Ind.; Joe P. (Toni) Folds, Churubusco; Mary (Arnold) Reyling, Decatur; Blaise (Kevin) Moore, Fort Wayne; Mercy (Phillip) Weigmann, Fort Wayne; Michael (Kimberly) Folds, Southern Shore, N.C.; Dorothy (Joseph, Sr.) Cochran, Columbia City, Ind.; brother-in-Law: Jim (Pat) Hands, Santa Claus, Ind.; 27 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years; and sister: Adelle Hands.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m.  to 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church 1515 Barthold St., Fort Wayne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the church. Father Joseph Gaughan will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Greenhill Catholic Cemetery in Columbia City.
