Eduardo Calderon had some kind of season in his first year competing in cross country.

Calderon, an 8th grader at Lakeview Middle School in Warsaw, capped his stellar season with a record-setting performance this past weekend.

Calderon took first place in the NELMSC Conference Meet by setting a course record at Wawasee Middle School in Syracuse. Calderon went undefeated on the season, including a victory at the State Meet. He set three course records this fall and holds the school record too.

William Robison also turned in an outstanding performance in the Conference Meet.

Robison, a Lakeview Middle School 7th grader, placed third overall. He topped his previous best time on the Wawasee course by 24 seconds.
