From 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. also on Nov. 23, the chamber and the North Webster Community Center will host a free visit with Santa at the NWCC. Children can enjoy activities, bounce houses and a visit with Santa Claus.

So far eight local merchants have signed up to participate in the shopping locally event. Membership forms for 2014 have been emailed to current members and are also available online. All area businesses are urged to join.

The general membership of the North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce elected new board members to fill expired terms.

Elected to 3-year terms were Karilyn Metcalf, Dixie Sternwheeler; Richard Owen, Owen Family Funeral Homes; Helen Leinbach, North Webster Community Public Library; and Don Roulo, The Cake Lady. Dave Colquitt of Eastlund Funeral Home was re-elected vice-president. Terry Davis, Amazing Canvas and Upholstery, will serve as the chamber ambassador. They will take office in January.

The chamber’s annual Christmas party for members will be held Monday, Dec. 9, North Webster American Legion Post 253. Social hour will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. There will not be a general meeting in December.

Kuddos were given to the North Webster Community Center auction and to the chamber fall festival for holding recent successful events. A review of the North Webster Fall Festival was held by its committee after the meeting.

The next general meeting of the chamber will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Tippecanoe Township Building, 102 S. Morton St. Enter by the southeast door. This is a temporary location because of Veterans Day being celebrated at the American Legion. Bring your own lunch if you wish.
