Sonny Nellans, 66, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 3:55 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, in VA Ann Arbor Healthcare Systems, Ann Arbor, Mich.

He was born March 14, 1947, to Dean and Geraldine (Nine) Nellans-Drudge in Warsaw. He graduated from Mentone High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Army in Augsburg, Germany.

He was in the automotive industry for 40 years. He was the owner of Nellans Motors and sold vehicles at Rice Ford Lincoln in Warsaw in recent years.

He was a member of the Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and ABATE Club. He enjoyed riding his Harley. Sonny also enjoyed his best friend, “Magic.”

He is survived by a daughter: Stacey Nellans-Jones; his fiancé: Tammy Martin; a grandson: Jordan Jones; and his father: Dean Nellans.

There will be a celebration of Sonny’s life from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30,  at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Burial will be at a later date.
