UPDATE: Burned Food Brings Fire Call

Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and Winona Lake fire departments were called to a possible apartment fire on Heron Boulevard, Warsaw, shortly before 1 a.m. this morning. A resident at 6133 Heron Blvd., which is in the Heron Preserve apartment complex, reported hearing a smoke alarm and seeing smoke coming from a neighboring apartment.

When Warsaw fire crews arrived on scene they quickly determined the smoke was caused by burned food. Winona Lake Fire Department was immediately disregarded.

No damages or injuries were reported.
