Elfriede J. Lagoni, 77, of Silver Lake, Ind., passed away at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, in her residence.

She was born May 5, 1936, in Den Haag, Holland, to Joseph and Cornella (Lazeroms) Popp. She had been a resident of Sliver Lake for 10 years after moving from the Chicagoland area. She was united in marriage to Charles Lagoni on Feb. 14, 1973, in Chicago. She was a homemaker.

She loved to cook and be with her family.

Elfriede is survived by her husband: Charles Lagoni, Silver Lake; her children: Paul (Tammy) Cacciatore, Glenview, Ill.; John (Chris) Cacciatore, Chicago; Joseph (Kelly) Cacciatore, Lincoln, Ill.; and Michelle (Herb) McKane, Plymouth, Ind.; a sister: Anneliese (Edward) Berch, Lewisberry, Pa.; and Charles II (Suzanne) Lagoni, Racine, Wisc.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one aunt.

Visitation will be from 5 p.. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. There will be no funeral service.
