Janet P. Deafenbaugh
Janet P. Deafenbaugh, 78, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 12:23 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Ind.
On Nov. 11, 1934, she was born to Richard and Edith (Burke) Kelley in Ivyton, Ky. Living her adult life in Warsaw, she worked for Zimmer Inc., Warsaw for 22 years as a customer service representative, retiring in 1993.
Janet was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Pierceton. She enjoyed playing golf, cards and marbles. Janet also was also a volunteer driver for American Cancer Society.
She is survived by three daughters: Louann Deafenbaugh, Winona Lake; Linda (Rick) Shoemaker, Leesburg, Ind.; and Teresa Deafenbaugh, Winona Lake; three grandchildren: Michelle (Jeremy) Doerr, Nick Shoemaker and Jordan Deafenbaugh; and four great-grandchildren: Taylor Kammerer, Jena Kammerer, Kerstin Doerr and Kendra Doerr.
Janet was preceded in death by her daughter: Janalynn Ramsey; her parents; five sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
