There was a large turnout for the Heart of the Community “Keep the Lights On” charity auction and raffle held Saturday night, with people filling the North Webster Community Center’s gym and balcony.
The event started at 5 p.m. with a sold-out dinner catered by the Sleepy Owl and two silent auctions.
A live auction followed at 7 p.m.
Auctioneer for the event was Brian Wuthrich with Hahn Auctioneers. Bigger winners during the night included Kimberly Cates of Syracuse who won the 46-inch RCA TV raffle and Jim Alexander of Warsaw who walked away with a Forest River Camper.
Overall drawing winner was Tena Ousley of Warsaw. Ousley won the ability to pick between a pontoon, a car, Polaris Ranger UTV, Jet Ski or a snowmobile. After consulting with her husband, Don, Ousley chose the Polaris Ranger UTV.
Also during the event, a $1,000 donation was made by the North Webster Lions Club to the North Webster Community Center.
All proceeds from the charity auction and raffle will benefit operations at the North Webster Community Center.
