Frederick Eugene Quine, 87, of Charlotte, N.C., and formerly of Warsaw, Ind., passed away on Nov. 22, 2013, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
He was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Warsaw to Clayton Leroy and Edith (Archer) Quine. He was a 1945 graduate of North Webster High School and grew up in Dutchtown, Ind. He was a U.S. Army veterans from the Korean Conflict, Batt B 547th Field Artillery.
On April 11, 1954, in Chicago, he married Darlene McMillan.
Fred worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years in Elkhart, Ind.; Chicago, Ill.; and Santa Ana, Calif.
He is survived by his wife: Darlene; a daughter: Edie Quine, Charlotte, N.C.; a son: Tom, Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren: Katie, Andrew and Alex Quine; a brother: Donald Quine, Indianapolis, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Miller and Marjorie Will.
