BOURBON- The Triton boys’ tennis team put the wraps on a strong regular season with a win Monday.
The host Trojans blanked Tippecanoe Valley 5-0 in a makeup match.
Senior Dean Howdeshell led Triton with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles over Tanner Neeley.
Jared Fisher collected a 6-3, 6-0 win over Isaac Shewman at No. 2 singles. Alex Eib completed the singles sweep for Triton by defeating Wyatt Nelson 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3.
Lucas Shaffer and Darren Harrell posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles over Trevor Neeley and Logan Britton. The Triton No. 2 team of Jake Oldham and Austin Sellers completed the shutout by beating Willy Inglehern and Derrick Cunningham 6-4, 6-4.
Triton finishes the regular season at 11-5.
The Triton junior varsity won 3-1 to finish with a record of 10-3.
Triton faces Plymouth Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in a semifinal match of the Bremen Sectional. Tippecanoe Valley will play Columbia City Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in a sectional semifinal match at Warsaw.
