HalfacreTerry Halfacre, 62, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, in his residence.

On April 22, 1951, he was born in Batesville, Ark., to Clark D. and Merle (Sullivan) Halfacre. He was united in marriage to Deb Carruth on March 26, 1982, in Warsaw, who survives.

Terry had lived in California until after high school. He then moved to Indiana. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

He worked for several years at Donnelley and Sons Inc., Warsaw, and was involved with the Boy Scouts. Terry enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Deb Halfacre; four children: Andrew (Laura) Halfacre, Warsaw; Kristi (Daniel) Ferrell, Georgia; Jason Halfacre; and Wendy (Eric) Durkee, California; six grandchildren: Draven Ferrell, Maddie Ferrell, Sebastian Halfacre, Dereck (Asjia) Ferrell, Maegan Ferrell and Tj O’Brien; two great-grandchildren: Isabella and Makayla Hughes; his mother: Merle Bean, Arkansas; two brothers: Steve (Vicki) Halfacre, Tennessee; and Tim Halfacre, Arkansas; three sisters: Christina Lynn (Brian) Breeden, Warsaw; Lori (Jeff Conley) Halfacre, Georgia; and Cherita Quintana, California; and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Shane Rager officiating and military honors provided by American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post 1126, Warsaw. A private burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
