Madelyn Noel Stephenson, 19, of Granger, Ind., and formerly of Leesburg, Ind., passed away on Jan. 3, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Madelyn was the daughter of Pam (Chad) Smith of Granger and Jason Stephenson of Milford, Ind.

Madelyn studied dance at LeeAnn Stewart School of Dance, attended Leesburg Elementary, Lakeview Middle School and Clay High School in South Bend where she majored in dance. Madelyn graduated with honors from Indiana Academy for Science Mathematics and Humanities in Muncie and attended Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame and Indiana University Bloomington where she was majoring in Environmental Science.

She is survived by her parents; grandparents: Linda (Terry) Baker, Silver Lake, Ind.; Michael Noel Sr., Leesburg; Dianne (Randall) Noel, Bourbon, Ind.; and Chris (Gary) Smith, Niles, Mich.; a sister: Helen “Cookie” Stephenson; two brothers: Nathaniel Stephenson and Dustin Smith, both of Granger; and her boyfriend: Michael Spors,  Indianapolis, Ind.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at Mishler Funeral Home in Milford. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday Jan. 10, at the funeral home with Pastor Kim Bloom to officiate. Burial will be in the Leesburg Cemetery following the service.
