Mildred M. Davis, 96, of Bremen, Ind., passed away, Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Community Hospital of Bremen.

She was born Aug. 22, 1917, in Plymouth, Ind., to Jacob O. and Core E. (Huff) Yockey. Mildred married Ernest W. Davis on Sept. 14, 1940; he preceded her in death.

Born and raised in Marshall County, Mildred was a 1935 graduate of Bremen High School. She was a loving, wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with all her loved ones. She enjoyed singing with her family; doing word puzzles and playing skip bo. She was a devoted Christian who loved to read the Bible and faithfully attended Riverside United Methodist Church.

Mildred is survived by three children: Karen Baker, Bremen; Marilyn (Larry) Lacher, Plymouth, Ind.; Lanetia (Jerry) Christner, Warsaw, Ind.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.
