Ruby R. Drane, 97, of Warsaw, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Warsaw to Samuel LeRoy and Lizzy Ellen (Foreman) Evans.

She was a lifetime Warsaw resident. The Westminster Hotel of Winona Lake, Ind., and the Warsaw Dry Cleaners and Laundry formerly employed her. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Warsaw.

Survivors include sons: Ronald D. (Gloria) Carper of Noxon, Mont., and Jerry D. (Mary Lou) Carper, Indianapolis; a daughter: Linda (William) Brigham, Fort Wayne; brothers: Earl Evans and Ralph Evans, both of Warsaw; sisters: Lillian Lozier, Mary Beth (John) Camden and Thelma Boyer, all of Warsaw; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Interment will be private in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will officiate the services.
