Maryon L. Titus, 85, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 8:10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation, Warsaw.
She was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Warsaw to Harry L. and Martha M. (White) Circle. She was a 1947 graduate of Warsaw High School.
On July 6, 1947, she married Ned C. Titus in Warsaw.
Maryon was a lifetime resident of Warsaw and was the former owner/operator with her husband, Ned, of Titus Funeral Home for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1993. She was also a faithful life member of First Baptist Church of Warsaw where she sang in the choir, directed the junior choir, belonged to the church circles and served on the missionary committee. She was a past president of Delta Theta Tau Sorority, was a Rainbow Mom, past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star, member of the DAR and Tuesday Night Drama Club.
She is survived by her son: Jerry L. (Kathy) Titus, Warsaw; two grandchildren: Mitch (Jody) Titus, Warsaw; Amber (Kevin) Gelbaugh, Winona Lake, Ind.; four great-grandchildren: Shashawna Titus, Huntington, Ind.; Garrett Titus, Warsaw; Emma Gelbaugh, Winona Lake; Mallory Bowers, Warsaw; and a daughter-in-law: Carol Nagel, Ashville, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Ned C. Titus; and a son: David M. Titus.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. The funeral service will be ago 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Peters, First Baptist Church of Warsaw. Burial is to be at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
