Syracuse Business Raided For Spice Sales

The Syracuse Police Department wrapped up a months long investigation today by raiding a Syracuse business suspected of selling synthetic cannabinoids, also known as “Spice” or “K2”

The search warrant was served today at the “The What You Want” store, 503 S. Huntington St. Indiana State Police and local police have been investigating the store and its sales for several months by making undercover purchases of the products being sold. Upon testing it was determined that the substance being sold at the store was illegal.

Syracuse Police Chief Tony Ciriello said, with the assistance of the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, the search warrant was obtained and served on the business today. During the search, over 100 packages of synthetic cannabinoids were found, along with records of transactions.

Arrests are expected out of the investigation, which is continuing.

Syracuse police were assisted in the investigation by the Kosciusko County Prosecutors Office, Indiana State Police and undercover narcotics officers from other law enforcement agencies.
