WINONA LAKE – The Warsaw girls golf team tuned up for the sectional with an impressive performance Tuesday.

The Tigers shot a season low team total of 164 versus Whitko in the regular-season finale at the Stonehenge Golf Club.

Warsaw put the finishing touch on a 14-2 season by beating the Wildcats 164-236.

The host Tigers honored seniors Nikki LaLonde, Elizabeth Meadows and Miranda Domiano Tuesday evening.

LaLonde and Meadows each shot a 39 to tie for medalist honors in the win. Meadows’ nine-hole total was a season low.

Junior Alexis Manwaring fired a 40 and classmate Kristen Watson added a 46 for the Tigers.  Domiano shot 52 for the winners.

April Bishop led Whitko with a 53.

Warsaw will host its own sectional Saturday at Stonehenge. Play begins at 11 a.m.  Whitko will also compete in the 11-team sectional field.

The Warsaw junior varsity team shot 210 to defeat Whitko. The Wildcats shot 209, but only had three golfers.

Aarshia Jain led the Tiger JV team with a 47. Madi Graham had a 49 for Warsaw, which finishes at 10-3 on the season. Page Desenberg shot a 52 and Lauren Shaffner and Morgen Fuentes each had a 62 for the hosts.
