A fast start carried host Bremen past Triton 52-7 in Northern State Conference play Friday night.
The Lions bolted to a 21-0 lead after the opening period en route to the league win.
Bremen quarterback Kai Slough fired three touchdown passes in the first stanza to lead the Lions. Slough finished 7-11 in the contest with those three touchdown tosses.
Senior Jayden Mosier provided the highlight of the evening for Triton with a 90-yard interception return for a touchdown.
Bremen receiver Ryan Zellner had a big night with five catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Zellner also had a seven-yard touchdown run.
The Lions improve to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the NSC. Bremen has lost to Class 4-A schools Plymouth (34-13) and New Prairie (27-7) and beat Class 3-A Tippecanoe Valley (22-7).
Triton, which dropped a tough NSC opener at Culver last week, drops to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in league play.
Sophomore Jeremy Jones rushed for 62 yards on 11 carries for the Trojans.
Triton hosts Glenn and Bremen plays at Culver in NSC action next Friday night.
Valley Stunned By Southwood
A late field goal was the difference as Southwood stunned host Tippecanoe Valley 34-33 in Three Rivers Conference action in Akron Friday night.
The Vikings, who beat Southwood 45-0 in 2012, drops to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the TRC. Valley has shared the last two TRC championships.
Southwood, which was coming off a 41-35 loss to Whitko, improves to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in league play.
Valley plays at Northfield and Southwood hosts Rochester in TRC action next Friday night.
