steffeMary Lou Steffe, 84, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw.

She was born Aug. 15, 1928. A lifetime Kosciusko County, Ind., resident, she graduated from Warsaw High School in 1946. On Aug. 15, 1948, she marred John Edwin Steffe in Atwood, Ind. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2006.

She was a homemaker and was employed by the Times Union Newspaper in the Circulation Department. She was a longtime member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church of Warsaw.

She is survived by her sons: Greg (Jackie) Steffe, Warsaw; Kevin (Teresa) Steffe, Warsaw; grandchildren: Kyle (Caitlin) Steffe, Warsaw; Kacee Steffe, Van Wert, Ohio; Lauryn Steffe, Indianapolis, Ind.; Conner Steffe, Warsaw; brothers: Gene (Joan) Kindle, Danbury, Wiscon.; Ray (Nancy) Kindle, Warsaw; and a sister: Kay Lingofelter, Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Floyd Kindle.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the funeral chapel. Pastor Steve Ailes will officiate the services. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
