John Albert McClements
John Albert McClements, 90, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, in the Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw, Ind.
Born on Sept. 6, 1922, in Highland Park, Mich., to Francis Harvey McClements and Florence (Cusworth) McClements. On June 9, 1947, he married Betty Rosanna Connor, who survives.
After graduating from high school, he attended the Salvation Army School for Officers in Chicago, Ill. John later moved his family to Winona Lake in 1959, where he worked for the Free Methodist Publishing House as a Linotype Operator for many years. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Winona Lake, and a past member of the Christian Motorcycle Club. He also served in the National Guard of Michigan until his honorable discharge in 1951.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Sharon (David) Mitterling, Warsaw; Joy (David) Dilling, Warsaw; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at Free Methodist Church, Winona Lake. Pastors Roland Kramer and Henry Church will officiate with interment at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Arrangements are entrusted with Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
