Zelpha Ginter, 91, of Everglade City, Fla., and formerly of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Feb. 9, 1922, in North Webster, Ind., to Glen and Sylvia (Miller) Witmer. She graduated for North Webster High School in 1940 and married Carlyle L. Ginter in Whitley County, Ind., on Jan. 4, 1942.
Zelpha and her husband owned Ginter Electric Heating and Cooling from 1950 until 1979 when the business was turned over to their son, Wayne. She was secretary for many years
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Warsaw. Her legacy is her concern for the salvation of others. Zelpha and Carlyle allowed themselves to be used by God to serve as missionaries to those who were in need – whether a meal or place to sleep. Their gift of hospitality was second to their deep desire to lead those they met in the Warsaw and Everglade City areas to Christ.
She is survived by a son: Wayne (Jan) Ginter, Warsaw; a daughter: S. Anne Mason, Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren: Josh Richard, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Mark (Andrea) Richard, Toledo, Ohio; Lynnae (Greg) Hall, Columbia City, Ind.; and Rod Ginter, Cincinnati, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Carlyle Ginter; a son: Infant Walden Ginter; and a sister: Lucille Keck.
