Debra Kay Starr, 53, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6:08 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Sept. 18, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, to William and Ella Faye (Sexton) Gaylor. She married Paul D. Starr on April 16, 1976, in Clintwood, Va. She had been a resident of Warsaw since 1977, moving from Columbus, Ohio.
Debra worked as a core finisher for Dalton Foundries for the past 26 years.
She loved all children, her friends at Zales and her animals. She was a huge fan of “I Love Lucy,” was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband: Paul D. Starr, Warsaw; two daughters: Debra Fay (Tom) Long, Bourbon, Ind.; and Chris (Todd) Ryan, Silver Lake, Ind.; a son: Bryan Andrew Starr, Warsaw; two grandchildren: Kaylee and Kyle Owens; a sister: Ella (Greenway) Starr, Warsaw; and a brother: Dwayne (Kimberly) Chaffin, Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Ella Chaffin; and stepfather: Eugene Chaffin.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 23, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Her funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home with Rev. Larry Goss of Bourbon Bible Church. Burial is at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
