Donna F. Crum, 60, of Claypool, Ind., passed away at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born May 6, 1953, in Warsaw, Ind., to Newton P. and Betty (Hall) Wallen. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Ind.
On June 16, 1973, in Clintwood, Va., she was united in marriage to Robert Crum. She received her Bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana University South Bend. She was a substitute teacher in Special Education and K-12 for Warsaw Community School System and Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation.
She is survived by her husband: Robert Crum, Claypool; a son: Steve (Tammy) Wallen, Fort Wayne; daughters: Melissa (Jason) Abbott, Leesburg, Ind.; and Michelle (Russell) Flowers-Schutz, Warsaw; brothers: William (Lori) Wallen, South Whitley, Ind.; Woodrow Wallen, Columbia City, Ind.; and Troy Wallen, Akron, Ind.; sisters: Barbara (Don) Miller, Sevastapool, Ind.; Delores (Joe) Rose, Claypool; Josephine (Clifford) Clevenger, North Webster, Ind.; Ellen Wallen, Warsaw; Betty Wallen, Leesburg, Ind.; Braska (Fred) Rose and Tammy (Rex) Allen, both of Warsaw; grandchildren: Taylar Roberts, Ashaunte Wallen, Aaron Flowers, David Lindley, Brandi Lindley, Adam Lindley, Brandon Flowers, Stephanie Lindley, Caleb Wallen, Luca Wallen and Doblon Wallen; and great-grandchildren: Brady Roberts, Laila Lindley and Kaylynn Lindley.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Jack Richard Wallen and Ernie Wallen.
Calling will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 21, at Menzie-Reece Post #258 of the American Legion in Pierceton. Memorial services will follow at noon in the Post 258. Jeremy Hamby will officiate the service. Interment services will be private.
