Berniece Wood, 90, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor.

She was born Oct. 3, 1923, in Pierceton, Ind., to Arthur and Minnie (Weaver) Barker. On Oct. 26, 1940, she married George A. Wood in Warsaw and has been a lifetime Kosciusko County resident.

Berniece worked at Da-Lite Screen Company for 15 years retiring in 1978. She was a member of Warsaw Church of God.

She is survived by two sons: Charles (Joyce) Wood, Warsaw; and Ron (Carol) Wood, Warsaw; a daughter: Karen (Allen) Tusing, Florissant, Missouri; four sisters: Jeraldean Jackson, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Geraldean (Junior) Graves, South Whitley, Ind.; and Devona Morrical, Leo, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and seven step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: George A. Wood; three brothers: Robert Barker, Lester Barker and Truman Barker; and two sisters: Helen Snepp and Orpha Thornburg.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 21, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will follow at noon Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. William Whitaker of the Warsaw Family Worship Center. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
