1192787_profile_picEthel D. Johnson, 75, of Akron, Ind., passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, Ind.

She was born on April 13, 1938, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Amos Lester and Gladys (Prater) Dotson. On Feb. 5, 1984, she and Henry Johnson, Jr. were joined in marriage.

In 2007 they moved and made their home in the Akron, Indiana area. Ethel was a homemaker and a member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Silver Lake, Ind.

She is survived by two sons: Dean (Geretta) Greene, Leesburg, Ind.; Jim (Leslie) Greene, Bristol, Ill.; three grandchildren: Sossity Goble, Claypool, Ind.; Jeremy (Aime) Greene, Leesburg; Rachel Greene, Bristol; and sister: Eva Lee Hill, Dayton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother: Amos L. Johnson, Jr.

Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, in the funeral home. Pastor Carl Hughes of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church will officiate. Burial will take place in Dotson Family Cemetery, Prestonsburg, at a later date.

The family has asked the gifts in Ethel’s memory be given to Gentiva Home Healthcare and Hospice, 1476 W. 18th St., Rochester, IN 46975.
