1191119_profile_picRobert ‘Bob’ Beck, 58, of Rochester, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 14.

He was born on Dec. 29, 1954, in Gary, Ind., to Robert G. and Lavada Hardy Beck. As one of five children, growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters: Paula and Jennifer; and two brothers: Dan and Karl. In Rochester, on Sept. 17, 1973, Bob married Janet Lee Krisher, the love of his life who later became his best friend. Together they shared over 40 years of life’s adventures raising a daughter, and two sons. The family tree continued to flourish with the added blessings of seven grandchildren.

For over 30 years Bob was a dedicated employee of the Fulton County Highway Department. He was a member of the Coon Hunters Club and the John Deere Two-Cylinder Club. Bob was delighted to attend plow days, thrashing events and area antique tractor shows. His favorite eateries were Arby’s, Mama’s, Wendy’s, McDonalds and Burger King.

He is survived by his wife; his daughter: Robin Reed (companion Eric Cook) of Peru, Ind.; two sons: Chris Beck (companion Blake Folsom) of Syracuse, Ind.; John (Janet Lee) Beck, Lucerne, Ind.; seven grandchildren: Taylor Beck, Kris Beck, Rabeckah Reed, Maria Reed, Jaine Reed, Jarod Beck and Jaden Beck; two sisters: Paula (Mike) Crill, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Jennifer Beck, Warsaw, Ind.; two brothers: Dan Beck, Mentone, Ind.; Karl (Sonja) Beck, Talma, Ind.; and best friends: Dennis and Lisa Pugh.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at the funeral home. Pastor Rod Ruberg will officiate services.
