deb and doug (150x151)Deborah I. Blanton, 59, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 6:33 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Ind.

On April 2, 1954, she was born in Jackson, Ohio, to Elwood and Helen Louise “Nanny” (Seitner) Hall Sr. She was united in marriage to Douglas Blanton Sr. on Nov. 6, 1972, in Kosciusko County, Ind. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2012.

Living most of her life in Kosciusko County, Deborah worked in the dietary department at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, then became dietary supervisor at Mason’s Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was also a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool, Ind.

She is survived by her sons: Douglas Blanton Jr., Pierceton, Ind.; and Bradley J. (Amanda) Blanton, Warsaw; five grandchildren: Samantha and Trece Blanton and Breanna, Bradley Jr. and Drake Blanton; her sister: Ellen L. Dean, Jackson, Ohio; two brothers: Roger Glenn (Ma Teresa) Hall, Jackson, Ohio; and Elwood Glenn Hall, Jackson, Ohio; her niece: Heather; and three nephews: Christopher, Roger and Joseph.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother: Elwood Hall Jr.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, at a later date.
