Janet E. Devittorio, 78, of North Webster, Ind., passed away at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at her home.
She was born on March 14, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Murray G. and Margaret (Barnes) Hawk.
She graduated from Brush High School in Lyndhurst, Ohio, and from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. She grew up in Ohio and had lived in Illinois, Georgia, Virginia, England and Indiana before moving to the Syracuse / North Webster area 28 years ago from Frankfort, Ill. Formerly employed at New Beginnings Daycare in Milford, was a teacher / tutor, and worked at a library in Illinois.
She was a member of the North Webster Church of God.
She is survived by three daughters: Kim (Jeff King) DeVittorio, Dripping springs, Texas; Kristin Devittorio, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Allison DeVittorio, Elkhart, Ind.; and a grandson: Joshua Frankel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Ann Houlihan; and a brother: John Hawk.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, at the Church of God, 302 N. Main St., North Webster, with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the church officiating.
