Jonasch pictureJames J. Jonasch, 70, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital.

He was born March 30, 1943, in Long Island, N.Y., to the late Edward A. and Nilah (Harvey) Jonasch. He was a Navy veteran and member of the VFW.

James worked as the bar manager at Club Soda in Fort Wayne.

Surviving are his children: Jennifer (Andrew) McKeever, Fort Wayne; Kimberly (David) Priest, Hoagland, Ind.; and Jonathan Jonasch, Carmel, Ind.; a sister: Nilah (Daniel) Brown, Milford, Ind.; grandchildren: Jordan, Chloe and Abby Priest, Justin Jonasch and Shelbie Reuille; a great-grandchild: Osirus Reuille; and step sons: Mark Caldwell and Terry Burris, both of Fort Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his parents and longtime companion: Judi Stout.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne. A celebration gathering will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at Club Soda, 235 E. Superior St., Fort Wayne.
