In a Facebook announcement posted Monday morning, The Studio, an arts supply store and coffee shop, announced it will close its storefront effective Friday, Aug. 16. The shop is located at 2403 N. Detroit St., Warsaw. The Studio will, however, continue to offer event catering and may continue to open for special events and classes.

Over the next two weeks, The Studio will be running clearance sales on all in-stock arts and crafts supplies, starting today, with a 25-percent off store-wide discount on all in-stock arts and crafts supplies and equipment.

“First, we want to thank all of you who have been such devoted fans and stopped by the store regularly, allowing us to become a part of your lives. Unfortunately, we just haven’t been seeing enough people in the store to be able to pay the bills associated with keeping the storefront open. While we have been growing constantly, we just haven’t grown quickly enough, and the most expensive parts of this business are the parts that keep things like lights and internet and so forth running in the store and those smiling faces behind the counter so many hours of the day,” the Facebook announcement said.

“We hope you realize how much your patronage has meant to all of us, and how much we will miss seeing all of you on a regular basis. But again … there’s no telling what the future might hold. So until we meet again, friends … Thank you for everything.”
