Glen Elder, 69, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born on April 5, 1944, to Howard and Florence (Slusher) Elder in Warsaw. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Ind. He married Sandra Cole on Nov. 7, 1964, in Pierceton, Ind.
Glen worked as a welder for Frush Welding. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 258 in Pierceton. Glen enjoyed racing, playing shuffle board and most of all spending time with his family.
Glen is survived by his wife: Sandra Elder, Warsaw; his children: Robin (Michelle) Elder, Glenda Mattern, Cami (Lowel) Miller, James Elder and Shantell (Jesse) Fugate, all of Warsaw; and Starr (Michael) Privett, Claypool, Ind.; his brothers: Danny (Jan) Elder and Max (Mazie) Elder, both of Pierceton; and Jim (Ruth) Elder, Warsaw; a sister: Carol (Kent) Bragg, Morristown, Tenn.; his step father: Max Miller, North Webster, Ind.; and 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Glen’s life will begin at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at the American Legion Post 258 in Pierceton.
