Max and Linda Flenar of Etna Green recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Max and the former Linda Long were married on July 21, 1963, at the Etna Green Church of Christ by Gene Neyhart.

Max barbered in Bourbon and Mentone for 29 years, then retired from Zimmer after 15 years. Linda retired from teaching with Warsaw Community Schools after 37 years spent at Jefferson Elementary.

The couple have two children: Don (Vicki) Flenar, Peachtree City, Ga.; Angie (Craig) Szymanski, West Lafayette; and four grandchildren: Cade, Reid, Trey and Aleah Szymanski.
