Mary E. Wintrode, 90, of North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at her residence.
Mary was a homemaker, member of the Missionary Church, North Manchester and a former member of the Country Women’s Club. She was a great cook, had an artistic talent and enjoyed embroidering.
She was born at Marion, Ind., on July 14, 1923, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Peters) Walls. On Feb. 13, 1943, she married Rollin Wintrode. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons: Rollin (Carol) Wintrode, Arkansas; David Wintrode and Robert Wintrode, both of North Manchester; two daughters: Jane (Todd) Walters, Silver Lake, Ind.; Holly (Gene) McCoin, Indianapolis, Ind.; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Katherin Brown, of Texas; and Mildred (Roy) McVey, Marion, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Visitation will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Mission Church, 806 SR 114 E., North Manchester. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the church. Pastor Dan Binkley will officiate and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Servia, Ind.
