Wilfred “Willie” L. Cline, 85, of Nappanee, Ind., and formerly of Bremen, Ind., passed away on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, in his home.
Willie was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Bremen to the late Charles and Lena Cline. He attended LaPaz High School and after graduation in 1947, he became self-employed as a farmer on his father’s farm, where he was born. He retired after 47 years of farming. Willie was an avid bowler with the Bremen Church League and enjoyed watching sports. He attended the Nappanee Missionary Church.
Willie is survived by his wife: Elfreda “Freda” (Moore) Cline, Nappanee; four daughters: Kay (David) McKerring, Hollywood, Fla.; Carol (Bryan) Thomas and Beth (Randy) Yoder, both of Nappanee; and Ann Cline, Noblesville, Ind.; a son: Dick Cline, Bremen; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Nelson; and a sister: Helen.
Visitation is planned for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. A burial service will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Bremen Cemetery on Friday, Dec. 6. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Nappanee Missionary Church with Pastor John Myers officiating.
