Kathleen Miller, 90, of Goshen, Ind., and formerly of Kosciusko County, Ind., passed away at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in Indiana University Health Goshen Hospital, Goshen.
She was born Oct. 7, 1922, in Adair County, Ky., to Jesse P. and Tina (Burton) Powell. She was a 1940 graduate of Messiah Academy, Grantham, Pa. She lived most of her life in Kosciusko County.
On April 27, 1947, she married Clair Miller in Harrisburg, Pa. She worked as a clerk at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Ind., for 18 years retiring 1994.
Kathleen was a member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church; a volunteer at Encompass World Partners, formerly known as Grace Brethren Foreign Mission; and also for Christian Education National and she loved to garden and can.
She is survived by her husband: Clair Miller, Goshen; four sons: Clair F. “Chip” (Shelley) Miller, Quincy, Ill.; Kenneth V. (Jody) Miller, Bunker Hill, Ind.; Stephen (Lee) Miller, Warsaw; and Randy (Deb) Miller, Warsaw; a daughter: Brenda (Bradley) Green, Mishawaka, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Elizabeth Alexander, Columbia, Ky.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Bill Powell, Ed Powell, Joe Powell and Wood Powell; four sisters: Nellie Bailey, Fannie Corbin, Ruth Bryant and Lena McQueary.
Visitation will from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, and at the church one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, Winona Lake, with Pastor Bruce Barlow, Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, Winona Lake. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg, Ind.
