George Paul Springer, 75, of Houston, Texas, passed away Sept. 18, 2013, in his home.
He was born Nov. 27, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Phillip and Josephine (Menuch) Springer. He was a college graduate and was a U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class serving in Sonseca, Spain. He entered the service on July 27, 1959, and was discharged July 14, 1964.
He is survived by a sister-in-law: Patricia Springer, Claypool, Ind.; nephews: Edward A. Springer, Garden City, Missouri; Mark Springer, Casa Grande, Ariz.; Thomas (Dianne) Springer, Cedarburg, Wisc.; Patrick (Janet) Springer, West Plain, Mo.; and David (Annie) Springer, Indianapolis, Ind.; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother: Edward Springer; and a half-sister: Phyllis Miller.
Private family services were held Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, Ind., with Rev. Bob Jarboe, hospice chaplain. Military honors were by Warsaw American Legion Post 49 and VFW 1126. Burial was in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Ind.
