Accident
Officers of the Milford Police Department recently investigated the following accident:

Thursday, 12:57 p.m. Higbee and Emeline streets. Drivers: Craig A. Riffey Jr., 24, CR 3, Nappanee; and Brandi Palmer, 20, Turkey Creek Drive, Milford. Palmer suffered minor abrasions and scrapes and refused medical treatment at the scene. Jonahlyn Quirk, 21, Turkey Creek Drive, Milford, suffered abrasions to the head and legs and suffered back injuries. She was transported to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Riffey turned his truck and boat trailer in front of the Palmer driven mo-ped, causing the mo-ped to strike the trailer. Quick and Palmer were ejected from the mo-ped with Quick landing in the roadway. Palmer was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Cass County. The mo-ped, owned by Charles Edwards, Leesburg, was reportedly totaled. Damages: up to $5,000
