Craft times for Young People and adults

From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, crafty people are invited to make bookmarks to give away as presents for other people that read in the Syracuse Library. Paper, glue and printing tools will be provided. Come meet other crafty people. Feel free to bring ideas or bring a friend. Visitors may drop in or stay the whole time.

Adult Book Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Everyone is welcome to join the round table discussion. Find out about the little known condition called “left neglect” presented in the fictional story by neurologist, Lisa Genova.

Children and Teens

Children in the Dig into Reading Program who have read for 3 weeks will have a ticket to play video games when the truck comes on Tuesday, July 9. Later in the day, teens in the Beneath the Surface reading program who have read four books will have a ticket to play teen video games.

The dinosaurs are coming to the library at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 16. Kids are encouraged to bring their family for an hour of Digging for Dinosaurs fun.

The teen program, Beneath the Surface, is ending at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17. The final party is an hour of making food that is round. Young people will eat the meal they prepare. One grand prize winner will be drawn from all the books that were entered during the reading program.

Talk to a Master Gardener

At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, Ellen Longenbaugh is talking about saving seeds. She will answer gardening questions about preparing the garden for winter and the next growing season.
