One person was hurt just before midnight on Saturday in a motorcycle crash on South CR 750 West near Beaver Dam Lake.

Samaritan air ambulance transported the male driver, William Dean Cloud, 48, of Claypool, to a Fort Wayne hospital for treatment. The driver was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control on a curve. The motorcycle left the road and went into field where it rolled several times and ejected the driver, who was not wearing a helmet.

Cloud did regain consciousness at the scene.

Fire, EMS and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department officials also responded to the crash.
