hosslerRuby Alice Hossler, 89, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, in Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation.

She was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Pierceton, Ind., to Alfred and Ethel (Gripe) Kyler.

She was a lifetime Kosciusko County, Ind., resident and a graduate of Sidney High School Class of 1942. On Feb. 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Kenneth William Hossler, who preceded her Oct. 30, 2000.

She was employed at Whitko Schools as a secretary from 1963 to 1989 and she was at Walmart of Warsaw from 1989 to 2008 as a greeter. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, a Poll Worker in Sidney, Ind., and a member of the Christian Congregational Church of North Manchester, Ind.

She is survived by a son: Hal Hossler, Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter: Kathy Renee Hossler; brothers: Merl and Max Kyler; and a sister: Ruth Imler.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at the funeral home. Interment will be in South Whitley Cemetery. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate the services.
