Patrons of the arts came for miles to browse the annual Art Blast event Saturday in Syracuse, which was organized by Creative Fish Gallery.

Besides the many stalls of oil paints on canvas, fiber crafts, jewelry and more, was one tent inviting the public to add to a collaborative painting.

According to volunteer Cindy Bryan, the painting was to be raffled off when it was finished in order to provide funds with, which free art classes would be provided to area children next summer.

Good crowds attended the event, which took place at and around 200 E. Pickwick Dr., Syracuse.
