Ervin L. Coble, 66, of Huntington, Ind., passed away at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at his residence near Bippus, Ind.

He was born Aug. 25, 1947, at Fort Jackson, S.C. to Ernest D. and Margretha (Ervin) Coble. They are deceased. On Nov. 7, 1970, he married Ethel Marie Elliott. She survives.

Ervin was a supervisor at National Tube Form, Fort Wayne, Ind., for 15 years retiring in 2012, and served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1968 during Vietnam. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 2689, Huntington, Ind., Deming Lodge # 88 F & AM, North Manchester, Ind., and Christian Fellowship Church, North Manchester. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his son: Donald C. Coble, North Manchester; a daughter: Mary Ann Stafford, Lakeville, Minn.; a sister: Patricia (John) Smith, Huntington, Ind.; and three grandchildren; Ashley Dotson, Huntington, Ind.; Chris Stafford, Fort Wayne; and David Angelio Dean Massaro, Lakeville.

He was preceded in death by one sister: Mary Rita Elick.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Christian Fellowship Church, 1002 SR 114 E., North Manchester. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Pastor Eddie Akins will officiate and burial with full military honors will be in Funk Cemetery, Bippus.
